For the first time in Brisbane, The Royal Croquet Club is hosting a 17-day garden party filled with food, bars, art installations, live entertainment and roving street performers to see while spending the afternoon playing croquet! For the past three years now, the event has been overly popular as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and hitting the Melbourne scene last Summer but now its success has made its way to Brisbane this Spring. This will be a wonderland that you cannot miss!
“There’s a little magic around every corner, and as always, a croquet pitch right in the heart of the club. The Royal Croquet Club will be an extravaganza for the senses” said Co-Founder, Grant Smillie.
Catering for every style and taste of foodies in Brisbane, there will be All-American dining by Mighty Mighty, The Defiant Duck and Miss Kay, a touch of Mexican Madness and Asian style food from Street ADL and to finish off the night, treat yourself to a gelato from La Macellaria that will leave you satisfied!
Brisbane’s opening night will feature Kilter and Porches performing to kick-start the event as the music line ups remain a secret. Some names that have been revealed include George Maple, KLP (Dj Set), Motez, Paces, Red Bull Music Academy presents Romare (UK), Touch Sensitive and Wafia. The event is being held at the South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt from the 6th to the 22nd of November, the event is free every day except Friday and Saturday with an entry fee of $5. The opening hours are from 4pm until midnight on weekdays where Saturdays and Sundays begin earlier at midday.
